My nose and scuttle are bolted on with rivnuts. Nose is hinged at the front with a big stainless hinge.

The side panels are fine rivetted on. Back panel it's handy to have easily removable but not the end of the world.
It's the sides I was especially thinking of - will be good to be able to remove them to sort pedal box and seat & seatbelt mounts - but I don't want to leave them sitting on the floor of the garage for months until I get round to doing some of those bits...

Hinged nose, now there's an idea. Flip front! :D

Just put a couple of rivets in to hold them in place

I put low tack clear plastic all over the bodywork so it's protected while fitting and working on the car

When you go to make the template for the wishbone holes get loads of pictures so you can see how the holes go. I can help you with pictures if you need. It's helpful to have an idea where to start and how they should be. Get a set of hole cutters too. Massively useful for all the cut outs.

Check out the DIY technical section for my posts on cutting the bodywork for exhausts and vents etc.

Yep, haven't looked into it properly but I am hoping to use bike carbs to avoid any holes in the top of the bonnet.

Yeah - suface rust is gradually accruing but it's only a light dusting on the top - I am getting closer and closer to having everything ready to weld onto the chassis (roping in the brother-in-law for that job as he's experienced at welding) then i'm going to send it off to get it prepped and painted - don't think a damp WW2 air-raid shelter is the right environment for applying paint!!!
