As the title says really, Christmas is nearly here and I was just wondering what plans people had, progressing with builds, upgrades to cars already built, time with family or just time off, working

After a testing few months of family issues I decided to go away for Christmas with the kids, first time I've ever done it and really looking forward to it. In the new year I want to get my metal garage put together so I can get on again.

Well I am off from the 23rd Dec to the 5th Jan
Going down south of Thailand on the 30th spend New Years on the beach.

Went shopping last week got a rack (From a Toyota T170 Corona / Carina 2) so will be making mounts for that and I also got all the bearings for my engine and rings so will start on the rebuild (well clean and paint).

Question will it be ok to use U bolts to clamp the rack down I don't want to use the rubber I got (They are shagged, Trying to source new ones) and don't have the rack clamps?
