Hve only turned a small fixing and faced of the flanges but I have a feeling this might feature heavily later in the build

best thing i ever bought, went to tesco for milk one night and there was a guy putting advert up for myford 7 , i arrived home an hour later with lathe and milk!
start picking up material anywhere you see it, thats the biggest bug i have is getting material to use without paying lots

Wow! Very cool!

I have a friend back in the states that bought his own CNC machine in order to make his own aluminum cylinder head! :shock:

Don't have so much fun with this new toy that you forget you have a Locost to build... :lol:

New is expensive Bruce so probably worth keeping an eye on the bay of thieves for the readout and just fit new slides. The best place for a stock of round bars of various diameters is a decent hydraulic company`s skip. I can fill the back of the truck for £20 quid these days because the scrap price is so low.

This sort of thing, all turnable,weldable steel with diameters of 6" down.
