as above it doesn't look to bad I'm guessing the bonnet is goosed and obviously the bulkhead wiring, but surely worth saving. Even if it needed a engine bay and behind dash rewire unless there is something worse hidden from view
It just seems a shame for her to go ....

It's available for £ 900 according to kgm insurance. It's near Rheims . I'm sure an offer of less than that would buy it but it's the getting of it.
Apart from the dash and wiring the damage is superficial. It's got a new weber and new dizzy.
I think a fuel leak caused by a weak filter seal caused the problem.
I would get it myself but I just bought a tiger supercat with the payoff and won't have room any more for repairing.
If anyone is seriously interested pm me and I'll give you the number for the loss adjusters they will probably take an offer to avoid storage costs building up.

Called the loss adjusters today to see if a deal could be done and the long and short of it is for me it wont be working out by the time i have bought the car recovered it home and repaired it it will be same moned as buying an on the road runner that coupled with the realisation that i actually dont have time do go for it or repair it and i really dont have anywhere to put it so i think i will have to let this one pass me by

Will think about it cause i can get it home for £600

If i can get some orders for bodywork in the door in the next few days it may still work out
