It's getting closer. ;)

I just need to work out a couple (okay, a few) logistical issues and I'll be all set.

If I listed everything needed to make this whole trip happen you'd wonder if I'm insane...

Hi Rob, bit of an update ... My Saturday commitments have been moved to Friday so hopefully that should make things easier if you are still planning on collecting this weekend :)

Hey Bruce,

I sent you an email earlier. I had to change my route. Instead of driving up from the south I am taking a ferry to Hull. The car and trailer are both up north at Skegness and Huddersfield.

It was a lot easier with much less driving this way. I still want to build a Locost and learn welding and fabrication! So I may plan another trip to "The Land of Locosts and Kit Cars" very soon.

I hope you didn't go through too much trouble moving things around. You can keep using it as a coat rack a little while longer. ;)

Seriously, I DO want to learn the welding and fabricating side of things. And I do still have my eye on a couple more things over there in the UK...

The car I'm getting isn't exactly a Locost... It's kind of....a... Ginetta! :o

I bought a Ginetta G20 from Stuart Pearson.
Actually, I bought a bunch of spare parts that resemble a G20...
I'll post pics once I'm home. Sitting on the ferry back to Rotterdam now.

I thought it would be neat to swing by Ginetta on the way back...
It was closed today, so my son and I parked the car in front of the building for a photo...
Two ladies came out and told us, "This is a private parking lot."
So much for Ginetta hospitality.
To be fair, the mess on the trailer could easily be mistaken for junk on the way to the recycler.
You'll see what I mean when I post the photos.

I bought the trailer from Jon Ison and got to sit in a Locost for the first time.
Jon was even kind enough to fire up the 200bhp Hyabusa motor for me.
I definitely still want to build a Locost!
