Yep definitely make the most of it John, once that little bundle of joy arrives your time will be totally consumed :D

One bit of advice, try and avoid the first nappy change, its none to pretty  after the first one they're just green poo

I've got it in my head that someone else recently found that the number had to stamped into a chassis rail itself and that stamped plates welded on were not acceptable at all, I cant remember where though, sorry

cheers Bruce, yep, at antenatal class we got a nice booklet with loss of different pictures of poo in it! At least that's something to look forward to... :-\

I don't mind the ' engraved on chassis rail' solution too much, from pics I've seen it looks fairly good if done well, and engraving tools are fairly cheap on ebay... I'll just have to give it a go!

Still making steady progress on the car, a couple of pics of my floor are on the 'blog now.

Was unable to duck out of nappy duty as the missus was out of action for several days after the birth. Funnily enough I haven't had any marmite since... Thankfully it was a boy though - so give it a few years and I'll have him handing spanners to me in the garage ;-D

Another day of work - mainly getting everything ready for when I can rope my brother-in-law in to do the welding. Nice to have a 'to do list' written up - hopefully it'll stop me missing anything off-last time
I remember seeing the phrase "a short pencil is better than a long memory" :) Nice to have inlaws that are any use at all

great progress yesterday, chassis welding all done now I hope, it was good watching a pro in action, he made a much better job of it than I would if I'd been practicing for years! nothing should hold me up for quite a while now, really looking forward to making some progress in the next few months!

he's alright! had plenty of trips to the Dr in the last few weeks, seems he has a delicate stomach unlike his father! all sorted now though it seems, he's sleeping about 12hours each night now, which is great!!
