Been out today ---what a hoot
Went up the Horseshoe pass which is about 5 miles from us 8-) 8-) 8-)
What fun!
A couple of issues. Starts to splutter when the loud pedal is on the floor , possibly fuel starvation , wont go over 70 in 4th.
Brakes binding badly no need for a handbrake and getting very hot on ns front and os rear.Stamped on the pedal a few times in forward and reverse which improved things considerably but still not quite right . I am hoping some bedding in may improve things.
Going out again tomorrow and take some pics(cornering is AWESOME  )

Love the reg no. -worth waiting for

Definitely was fuel starvation. Whilst fiddling about with fuel lines I remembered I blocked the jet on the second choke because the choke was not closing completely and it was affecting emissions levels when tested. I had put a little blob of Hylomar over the end of the secondary jet to get it past IVA  A quick poke with some wire solved the problem. It now goes on pulling right to the top of the revs :o :o What fun
Sorry no pics it tipped down with rain a couple of mins into my "test run" so I fled for home( well I dont want to get my car wet do I? )
Ns rear brake still binding slightly but a lot better than yesterday- all others ok now.

Been meaning to post some action vids but hit a minor snag--------engine is now u/s.

Crank is now in for regrind and has suffered oil starvation

Heads up if you have an extended and shortened sump . I had plenty of holes across my baffle but never thought about top vent holes to relieve the hydraulic vacuum effect. basically the oil in the sump extension was not flowing out fast enough causing starvation at high revs. I am about to fit an oil pressure guage.Horses and stable doors come to mind?
