Teararse  35mph , the shame of it  Wont that just be one of those speed awareness courses Ayjay ?

Dont forget to flush that crank out properly Ayjay, that gunge off the grinding wheels is as good as any lapping paste.

Bob

Since it was pouring down with rain all day I decided to investigate my noisy hydraulic tappets.I discovered that most of them were seized. I managed to free some off. Then looked on ebay and found a set of 8 for £32 delivered so will bin the lot and get new ones . Hope its all a bit more civilised without the clatter
Also fitted some new (non IVA compliant :o )front indicators-I always thought they look a bit naff sticking out on stalks
Also sent for some seat belt clips to try and stop the loose harness ends slapping me in the face at speed(within limits of course  )
Need to compile a list of stuff to do over the winter No 1 will be to tweak the sus mounts to stop the polybushes squeaking against the brackets

Got some more stuff to do to the car now cos I went off-roading
Got a bit over excited in a duel with a Suzuki and left the road sideways. Ended up tangled in a wire fence and posts which stopped me going over the edge of a fairly steep drop  The main force of the sudden stop was taken by front ns wheel and suspension . When pulled out I was expecting a recovery job but to my amazement no obvious sus or steering damage . Drove home sedately minus front left cycle wing and mount but all felt normal. I will have a closer look tomorrow in case any welds cracked or arms bent.
The wife is not to know ;)
