I don't think buying a built chassis is cheating at all, every build and builder are unique and the choice of buying or making parts comes down to a matter of personal preference/tooling/experience, whichever path you feel comfortable with.

As Psycho said above, get a build diary going and add a few pictures :D

Hi my name is John. I ha e recently bought my book. Believe it or not from amazon. I did a search and they had several second hand books. All at reasonable prices mine cost £12.56 plus 80p postage.

Are you sure its not the build your own sports car for £250 and race it as its a totally different car
