Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has used or looked into using an American lump? When I was going to V8 a Capri years ago, a mate and I looked into the pros n cons of rover V8 versus American V8 the American won, we based this on the fact that at the time it was cheaper to buy a set of mustang pistons and ship them to the uk than it was to buy patent rover ones here!

Yank tank lumps are quite cheap on eBay (under £400) I've always been a sucker for the monstrous sound and torque.any advice, comments, opinions welcomed.

Thanks

Aaron

Now I'm really jealous  with envy.

Did you find that it is the cheaper option over the British V8's? You need a big blower kit to stick on top now!!! :o

Long before I ordered the chassis I bought a mule chassis to play with and trial fitted the stuff I had in there. The ford v8 is smaller than the rover lump and even with the eight throttle bodies looking straight up it all fits under the standard bonnet.

Bob,

I was wondering where you are based? I noticed you went to wheels, Aldershot is 2 miles from me! I had to work but its already on my calendar for next year, saw some lovely cars heading there while I was off to paint some house!!
