I have been thinking of modifying an mr2 bellhousing to fit a type9 gear box separated from the gear box the cut the diff housing from the bellhousing i am proposing to make a sandwich plate from 1"" thick ally to adapt the toyota bellhousing to the type 9 box i think it will work if i can get a 4 cyl type 9 box this is to mate up to a Toyota 4 age engine your thoughts on if this is feasable are wellcome or am i just being a cheap skate by not buying a ready made bellhousing /adaptor

Not a bad idea but they are not that expensive to buy, if you flogged the box you have rather than chop it up it would go some way to buying this http://www.rwdmotorsport.com/Bellhousin ... od_58.html. I am also led to believe that the 2wd corrolla fits , a bit more blurb http://home.clear.net.nz/pages/phil.bra ... ission.htm

We covered all this for the 4age on the haynes site a few years ago but the search engine on there is knacked and I cant find it.
