Hi all need help to identify his , it lived on a bracket with the boost sensor on a mk2 mx5. I've googled it and got conflicting answers.
what is it , what does it do, and do I really need it?
if its part of the egr then where do the 2 pipes go to? if its part of the evap then I don't need it, just its got an electrical connection and want to avoid triggering any fault codes if I omit it
thanks in advance Gary

had a few replies and the consensus is its " a purge valve" to go on the evap system one pipe from tank the other to a charcoal canister. so not needed ...... however will put it in the "just in case" box , so will set it all up with the boost sensor on its own and see where we go from there.
Made the I/c brackets today so will get it mounted at the weekend , hoses should be here by then too :) made the tensioner for the sc belt (well work was getting me down today so did something productive , haha ) so will get that mounted and measured for a belt, got an alloy filter mount so will get that done as well and finish the fuel flexis to the tank . If theres any more daylight will do some more wiring.

Just a note if anyone is using or thinking of using a mk2.5 (03) mx5 engine there is only 1 fuel line front to back the whole system is pressurised, there is a T after the filter that is the return, if anyone needs any more info , just shout.
Anyway thanks for your comments, Gary
