I could use shorty headers but that would mean a pipe down both sides of the car. I built a leary cobra a few years ago and that had pipes down both sides and it causes brain ache on a run so i will get the both to exit nearside.

We obviously have similar tastes, I looked at a pilgrim cobra recently was a registered 80's unfinished project, real nice looking rolling chassis pretty much complete!

US Ford V8s are lovely to work on. I had an early 80's Mustang for a while and had the heads off several times. Far easier than working on a Rover or Mercedes V8 - in fact despite their size they are no more difficult to work on than a Ford Crossflow.
